Myanmar Consumers Union held Consumer Education Training at Paññā Institute on 29th July, 2019. President of Myanmar Consumers Union, Prof. Dr. Mar Mar Kyi gave an opening remarks and the participants introduced about themselves. U Maung Maung, Secretary of MCU, presented about the role of MCU in Myanmar Consumer Affairs and about Consumers and Consumer Protections. He also shared about the important role of Consumer Education. After that Joint-Secretary-3 of MCU, U Win Min, presented about the Ethical Business and an Adviser of MCU, Dr. Daw Myint Myint gave a lecture about Labelling. Then, the presentation about Traceability Mechanism by Dr Mo Mo Tin, Joint-Secretary-1 was followed by Question & Answer for morning session.

After Lunch, U Maung Maung explained about the MCU membership orientation and its responsibilities. Prof. Dr. Mar Mar Kyi presented the consumer exploitation and Dr. Mo Mo Tin shared Consumer Education knowledge to be a smart consumer followed by Question & Answer for evening session came.

In evening session, a MCU EC member, U Aung Naing Min explained about complaint and MCU complaint and redress mechanism. After that, U Aung Naing Min gave a complaint issue to the participants and they were divided into four groups as Government, Public Interest Organization, Individual(Consumer) and Business. The representatives of four groups participated in role play from their respective point of view. Then, MCU Secretary U Maung Maung concluded the role paly and gave a closing remark.
