Myanmar Consumers Union participated in World Food Safety Day Ceremony organized by Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations (FAO) at Mingalar Thiri Hotel,
Nay Pyi Taw on 7th June, 2019. This is the very first World Food Safety Day and its theme is “Food safety, everyone’s business”. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) have designated this day to food safety, to help raise awareness of its importance and encourage all stakeholders to play their part in improving the safety of food. MCU Secretary, U Maung Maung and Project Assistant,    U Thein Htike Soe attended this ceremony and U Maung Maung shared consumer education knowledge to the audiences. He also reminded about the danger of antibiotic residues in future.
