“Youth Participation in Consumer Education” Awareness Training

Myanmar Consumers Union and Organization for Building Better Society jointly conducted the “Youth Participation in Consumer Education” Awareness Training, at Sittwe, Rakhine State on May 6, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Open dialogue section continue at 6:00- 9:00 PM for the participants to be able to practice in their lives  and Question & Answer.

Secretary of MCU, U Maung Maung gave the lectures for consumer education such as Consumer rights and responsibility, What is a consumer?, Difference between consumer and customer, Why we need consumer education?, Labelling and Traceability, Consumer protection law, Consumer complaints systems and MCU Online Complaint System (Web-based and mobile based), etc.

At the Dialogue session, youths discussion about consumer affairs. They said that now they understood well meaning of consumer and customer and what is consumer clearly. Participants also said they got knowledge when they want to complain where to make a complain.
